Our famous licorice started with a lucky accident in 1957. During the process of making a batch of hard licorice we miscalculated and made a soft smooth product by mistake.

Fortunately someone tasted the product prior throwing it away and now almost 50 years later it is still Australia’s largest selling licorice with almost 98% of the entire market. Its still made the old fashioned way with all natural ingredients and is flavoured with natural licorice extract not aniseed oil.

Red Licorice
As producers of Australias best loved soft traditional black licorice we have long been challenged to make a delicious red licorice. It took us 43 years after first making the original licorice but we hope you agree it was worth the wait.

We take a little natural licorice extract and blend it with other fine ingredients and we believe the result is different from all other red licorice on the market. And we are proud to say it is Australias finest.
